We strongly recommend starting your journey – and this tour offers an epic drive along a number of scenic roads – at Conwy. Ranked No.1 in North Wales by National Club Golfer and 8th overall in Wales, Conwy is a first-rate challenge for even strong golfers. Wrapped around the bay and with the mountain backdrops on the other side, consistency is its strength. Its quality was recognised by the USGA and R&A when they chose to stage this year’s Curtis Cup at the Welsh links. The biennial clash between the best female amateur golfers in Great Britain & Ireland and the United States will take place from June 12-14.

Directly across the River Conwy, you will find Maesdu Golf Club. The course is located just a mile from the Victorian seaside resort of Llandudno and offers a delightful mix of links and parkland in a picture-perfect setting overlooking Conwy Bay. Water hazards are an almost constant threat during a round at Maesdu, dissecting fairways on nearly half the holes, while the wind coming off the bay can become fierce.

Bull Bay is the most northerly course in Wales and few can rival the spectacular setting of the 18-hole championship course. The course is laid out above the rugged Anglesey coastline with panoramic views of the mountains of Snowdonia and over the Irish Sea to the Isle of Man and the distant hills of the Lake District. It’s an undulating course designed by maestro Herbert Fowler that winds its way through valleys and between rocks and gorse. Golfers can expect an incredibly fun track, characterized by blind tee shots and wicked elevated approaches.
